SAND IN THE CITY. More than 450 tons of sand will be brought in to create a whimsical display of sand sculptures. 100% of the proceeds support Kids on the Block programs. Pioneer Courthouse Square. This is an all weekend event.

CARDIC SCREENINGS HELP DETECT HEART RISK IN TEEN ATHLETES. Parents of teen athletes can learn about their child's heart, health and find out whether their teen is at risk from a heart condition. 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. The screening fee is $10. Day Elementary will host a rain garden workshop on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The rain garden will be created on part of the front lawn of the school. Lawns filter very little rain water and provide few benefits as a habitat and resource for birds and other wildlife
