Beginning next year, the fine for most Seattle parking violations will increase. Currently, most parking fines range from $29 to $53, depending on the type of violation. The new fines will range from $43 to $78. The full list of parking violations with a new fine amount is located here.

According to the City of Seattle, the new fine amounts bring parking fines in alignment with current parking rates and account for inflation. This is the first time since 2011 that the city has increased the amount of parking fines.

Individuals receiving a parking violation have several options to address the ticket detailed on the court’s website here

Parking fines go up on Jan. 1, 2025.
